The Position
We are seeking an Investment Associate for our Investment Management Team. We are looking for someone who wants to work for a firm that is growing and dynamic, but also sits on the bedrock of thirty years in business. The Investment Team is responsible for research, design, implementation and management of diverse portfolios of marketable securities and private investments enabling us to provide our clients a total investment experience.
In addition to our 400+ individual client and client-families for whom we run investment portfolios, we also run a 5-star Morningstar rated publicly-traded mutual fund. (The person we hire will be working with our two Portfolio Managers who have 20 and 30 years investment experience, respectively.) The success of both our lines of business has positioned us for the next level of WEIL’s business development.
The position is full-time and in-office.
Qualifications and Experience
This position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; a CFP® (or current enrollment in a CFP® program) primarily for the purpose of building and managing client portfolios; and at least one year of experience in the financial services industry. The position also requires a Series 65 designation (either currently or ultimately).
Job Responsibilities

Manage client portfolio review system

Execute trades
-
Reconcile daily trade blotter and prepare reports for our Mutual Fund (CWCFX)

Manage spreadsheets for investment models and equity screenings

Direct communication with clients regarding trade orders and investment questions

Contribute to the firm’s research activities as needed

Utilize investment-related software programs to aid in the evaluation of client investment structures and in the formulation of recommendations.

Compensation
Our competitive compensation includes a base salary, discretionary bonuses, employer 401(k) contributions, and the opportunity to earn Success Sharing income after three years with the firm. The compensation for this position ranges from $65,000 to $100,000. Our firm also provides health insurance benefits and discretionary vacation and sick leave.
