Jonathan Strauss joined Christopher Weil & Company, Inc.’s financial advisory team in 2016 after a career in technology consulting where he honed a skill for presenting complicated concepts in easy-to-understand terms. On a day-to-day basis, CWC’s client families benefit from his financial know-how in estate planning, taxation, investments, retirement planning, college planning, and insurance.
He is currently enrolled in the following certificate programs:
• San Diego State University’s Executive Financial Planner Program
• Jewish Community Foundation’s Trusted Charitable Advisor Program
Jonathan earned his bachelors degree in History (Magna Cum Laude) from Point Loma Nazarene University. He was also a member of the Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society, and won numerous awards and scholarships for writing/research. Jonathan uses these critical thinking, research, and writing skills on a daily basis at CWC.
Jonathan is a passionate advocate for financial literacy. He currently volunteers with Just In Time for Foster Youth as an advisor to their Financial Fitness Program. He also mentors two foster youth participants.
He lives in La Jolla with his wife Mary (also a member of the CWC team), and their Maltipoo, Lady. In his free time Jonathan enjoys golfing, surfing, and all things sports (Go Lakers!).
