For many years Macy split her time between serving as Executive Director of the Patricia  & Christopher Weil Family Foundation and serving as the Philanthropy Steward for Christopher Weil & Company, Inc. Her past work with educational equality advocacy groups like Teach For America, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and Stand For Children provided her particularly useful qualifications and skills.

 

As WEIL’s Culture Team has grown, Macy’s skillset and interests have moved her into partnership with Kit Wells and others at the firm in doing the work of defining and nurturing firm culture. Through hiring and serving members of the WEIL Team, Macy works to cultivate a space where everyone’s work feels gratifying and productive and everyone feels a sense of belonging. 

 

Macy is a native San Diegan with a degrees from Whitworth University in Sociology and Leadership Studies. Her association with WEIL began when, as a senior at the Preuss School UCSD, she was awarded a college scholarship by the Weil Family Foundation.

Macy has served on the boards of The Latina Giving Circle of San Diego and Catalyst of Imperial and San Diego Counties (previously San Diego Grantmakers). She also serves as the chairperson for the firms’ Corporate Giving Committee, Culture-Intersects-Operations Committee, and Social Committee.
