Rob is a Managing Director with Christopher Weil & Company, Inc. (CWC) in San Diego. He helps client families manage their investments and organize their financial lives.
Rob has spent his entire career in the financial services industry. With a background in financial planning, investment analysis, real estate syndication and private venture fundraising, he possesses a unique skill-set that he can draw upon to benefit clients every day. He advises families on retirement and estate planning, college funding, philanthropic planning, taxation, small business planning and insurance. CWC supports him with a robust platform capable of producing thoughtful investment strategies and delivering concierge-level service.
Rob earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. He holds a Certificate in Personal Financial Planning from University of California, Berkeley Extension. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional (CFP®), a Registered Investment Advisor Representative and a California Life Agent.
Because he believes that a good education should go beyond the classroom, he supports programs that teach young people about commitment, teamwork and perseverance. He served on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory for 10 years, including three years as Board Chair. He continues to volunteer for SDYS as a non-Board member, serving on the Advisory Committee as well as the Finance and Audit Committee. He is also an avid supporter of youth basketball and a volunteer basketball coach at San Dieguito High School Academy in Encinitas.
Clients have told Rob that he has a knack for explaining complex financial concepts in ways that are easy to understand. He believe that clients should understand both what he is recommending as well as why. After all, it is their money and their financial future. He works hard to ensure that he is always on the same page as his clients and is helping them achieve their financial goals.
